How to fix slow Battle.net downloading speed?
Method 1: Close other active applications
The first thing that you’ll need to do is close all other active apps. This will include your web browser, email client, and other apps that are using your internet connection. This would free up your bandwidth while allowing the Battle.net client to use all of it for downloading the update.
Method 2: Change Battle.net bandwidth settings
The next thing that you’ll have to change is the Battle.net bandwidth settings. For doing that, follow these instructions.
Click on the cog icon located at the top-right corner of the Battle.net client and then go to Settings Now, click on the Game Install tab before finding the Bandwidth option Change the “Limit” to Zero and then click “OK” as it’ll remove the bandwidth limit for the Battle.net client and allow you to use the entire internet connection to download the update
Method 3: Change the download region
Click on the Down Arrow next to your profile photo located in the upper-right corner Click on Log Out After login, click on the Globe icon and then select a different server Enter your account information to log in For changing the region for the game, click on the globe icon next to the game you’re downloading and select a different server
Method 4: Avoid downloading the game during peak hours
In the search box, you’ll need to type or paste power and sleep settings Now, click on Power & Sleep Settings from the results Scroll down to the Sleep section and then click on the down arrow before choosing Never
Method 5: Close/suspend any background downloads
On your keyboard, you should press the Windows + R keys for opening the Run dialog box Now, type “gpedit.msc” and then press Enter Navigate this policy – Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update On the right side, you’ll have to double-click on Configure Automatic Updates Choose the Enabled option Under Configure Automatic Updating, you’ll have to choose the second option – Notify for Download and Auto Install Click on Apply and then OK
